MNCLand.com – On November 20, 2017, MNC Group celebrated its 28th anniversary with an event at MNC Center Kebon Sirih, Jakarta.
Chairman of MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, commemorated the event with tremendous gratitude for the group’s development. The group started with one dedicated employee – himself. Since then, it has grown to employ over 37,000 professionals.
“We must become a global organization that contributes toward building a good reputation for this nation. We want the global presence of MNC Group to lend a positive outlook on the community, nation and state,” Hary Tanoesoedibjo said at the 28th anniversary celebration of MNC Group.
He hopes that MNC Group will continue to grow and contribute positively to Indonesia’s development. In addition, MNC Group is one of the largest sources of tax revenue in the country. Annually, the group houses over 100 companies and pays about IDR 2 trillion in taxes.
“Of course, we expect MNC Group to grow further, create more jobs, and pay even more taxes in the future,” Hary Tanoesoedibjo added.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, MNC Group continues to contribute in the areas of health, education, infrastructure development, and disaster relief. “Our CSR programs are increasingly helpful to the community. We have made expensive treatment and surgeries free for over 700,000 patients,” said Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
He also expressed his feelings and experience in building the group for the past 28 years. Through ups and downs as well as moments of grief, he never despaired and continued working hard until he reached his goals for the company.
Hary Tanoesoedibjo ended on an uplifting note, “Do not stop trying before you have reached your destination. No matter the circumstances, we must be resilient and move forward.”
Meanwhile, Luhut Pandjaitan, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime, was also in attendance. He expressed his appreciation for the significant contributions MNC has made towards building the nation. “This achievement is extraordinary. From one employee to now more than 37,000. The company pays IDR 3 trillion in salaries and IDR 2 trillion in taxes,” he said.
He added that this shows MNC has good management, because achieving such an incredible feat is not easy. “Happy anniversary to MNC Group. I hope MNC continues to grow and go global to compete with the established international media,” Luhut concluded.
