MNCLand.com – Amid the COVID-19 situation, an outbreak of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) caused by Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albocpictus mosquitoes has now spread in several regions in Indonesia, one of which is in Bogor, West Java. The Health Office of Bogor has determined its area to be on alert for DHF and remind the public to remain vigilant. Various precautions were taken by fogging the area to prevent DHF.

As a form of concern for the welfare of the surrounding community, PT MNC Land Lido which is a developer of an integrated area of MNC Lido City in Lido, Bogor, on Saturday (02 May 2020) conducted an active social service of fogging activities throughout the Watesjaya Village area, Cigombong District, Bogor. The fogging activity which was aimed at preventing and avoiding the spread of DHF was carried out by cooperating with the DPP BAJA Perindo and in collaboration with the Watesjaya Village Government.

General Chairman of BAJA Perindo Drisye Siahaya and Watesjaya Village Head Rudy Irawan were involved directly in the fogging process that was carried out comprehensively in 8 RWs of Watesjaya Villages, including Kampung Baru, Ciletuh Girang, Ciletuh Hilir, Ciletuh Lamsi, Lengkong, Gombong Onan, and Pasir Kuda. This social service activity during the PSBB and in the fasting month was carried out with enthusiasm by the team of 12 people. Each team member is required to wear a mask and keep a safe distance when on the field.

Head of Watesjaya Village Rudy Irawan stated that this fogging activity provided tremendous help for Watesjaya residents and thanked all personnel involved. "Currently there are several residents in our village who have been exposed to dengue. We believe through this fogging activity, it can eliminate DHF in our village," he said. Covid 19 prevention efforts are also carried out in the area of Watesjaya Village by spraying and providing food packages to residents in need.

Representative of MNC Land Lido who is also the Chairperson of DPP BAJA Perindo, Drisye Siahaya also conveyed the importance of remaining vigilant against the spread of dengue during the Covid-19 pandemic. "We from BAJA Perindo in collaboration with the Head of Watesjaya Village are conducting fogging activities in anticipation to prevent the spread of DHF," he said.
