MNCLand.com - The National Council for Special Economic Zones (SEZ) has approved the establishment of SEZ Lido in the province of West Java. The establishment of this tourism SEZ is through the MNC Lido City area developed by PT MNC Land Tbk, a leading Entertainment Hospitality company in Indonesia.

MNC Lido City is an integrated residential, commercial, tourist destination, and resort area of 3,000 hectares in Lido, Bogor, West Java. Strategically located about 60 kilometers from Jakarta, it can be reached in about one hour drive via the Bocimi (Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi) Toll road.

The development of MNC Lido City as a tourism SEZ includes world-class theme park, international standard hotels (4, 5, and 6 stars), luxury villas & condos, and an 18-hole PGA standard golf course designed by Ernie Els, one of the most successful golfers in the history and the winner of Designer of the Year 2015 by World Golf Awards.

The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartanto, who is also the Chairperson of the SEZ National Council stated that SEZ Lido is expected to attract investments and create employment to boost Indonesian tourism.

"The result must be clear, tourists to West Java must also be of international quality. This must be a premium (SEZ) and the foreign exchange is expected to be premium," he said.
